Candlelight Vigil and Youth Gathering to Honor Wilson Moore and Others Lost to the Epidemic
On Saturday, February 15, 2024, friends, family, and youth groups will gather at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, NC, to honor the life of Wilson Moore, who tragically passed away two days before his 19th birthday. The event will also remember others who have been lost to the fentanyl epidemic, offering a space for reflection, prayer, and learning.
This meaningful day will provide an opportunity to celebrate lives gone too soon and to share lessons learned in the year since Wilson’s passing. Attendees will come together to support those left behind and those still struggling with the effects of this devastating crisis.
The evening will feature a dinner, a guest speaker, and a solemn candlelight vigil to honor the memories of loved ones. The gathering is intended to inspire hope, build community, and reaffirm the commitment to fighting the opioid epidemic.
Youth groups and individuals will be encouraged to register for the event closer to the date. Together, through shared stories, prayers, and moments of quiet reflection, the community will work to create a ripple effect of healing, support, and awareness.
