Wilson’s Wave Founder Betsy Moore to Speak to the FCA at Heritage High School
On Friday, April 11, 2025, Betsy Moore, Founder of Wilson’s Wave, will speak to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) at Heritage High School. The event will take place at 7:00 AM, where Betsy will share her son Wilson’s story and raise awareness about the deadly impact of fentanyl.
North Carolina is facing an urgent fentanyl crisis, with 8 lives lost each day to this lethal drug. These tragedies leave lasting scars on families and communities. According to the DEA, fentanyl is the leading cause of death in Americans between the ages of 18 and 45, making education and awareness more critical than ever.
Wilson’s Wave was founded in memory of Wilson Moore, who lost his life to an accidental fentanyl overdose. In the face of heartbreak, Betsy Moore has channeled her grief into action, dedicating herself to educating young people about the dangers of opioids and empowering them to make informed, life-saving choices.
At this event, Moore will speak to students about the power of faith, resilience, and community in the fight against the fentanyl epidemic. She hopes to inspire young people to make choices that not only protect their own futures but also create a positive ripple effect for those around them.
