Wilson’s Wave Founder Betsy Moore to Speak at Richmond Senior High School

On Friday, October 25, 2024, Betsy Moore, Founder of Wilson’s Wave, will address students and staff at Richmond Senior High School, located at 838 US-1, Rockingham, NC. From 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, Moore will share her son Wilson’s story and raise awareness about the devastating effects of fentanyl.

North Carolina faces a grave fentanyl crisis, with 10 lives lost each day to this deadly drug. These losses ripple outwards, leaving families shattered and communities forever changed. Shockingly, in North Carolina, fentanyl is now the leading cause of death for residents aged 18 to 25.

Wilson’s Wave was founded in the wake of tragedy, following the loss of Wilson Moore to an accidental fentanyl overdose. Driven by love and determination, Betsy Moore has turned her grief into a powerful force for change, educating communities about the opioid epidemic and empowering them to take action.

During this event, Moore will inspire students to recognize the ripple effect of their choices and join the fight against fentanyl’s devastating impact. Her message underscores the power of even small actions to create meaningful change and save lives.
